December Theme – The “T.A.K.E.S. P.R.I.D.E.” theme for January is “Service.”

 

Rachel’s Closet – Rachel’s Closet is closed today.

 

Music Dept. News –

  • Orchestra – There will be 7/8 grade orchestra rehearsal in room #300 today.  See you then.

 

South Street Store – The South Street Store will be open during CP11 today.

 

Coding Club – Coding Club will meet after school today at 3:00PM in room #106.  Make sure to sign up for the late bus if you need it using the link for South on the Coding Club Canvas page.

 

AM Street Hockey – There will be AM street hockey in the gym tomorrow morning.  Questions?  See Mr. Bosler or Mrs. Welsh.  Hope to see you there!

 

Spirit Day – Tomorrow is Wednesday and that means it’s spirit day!  Tomorrow’s spirit is “Athlete vs. Mathlete.”

 

South Fellowship Thursday – There will be South Fellowship in the gym this Thursday morning.  If you are interested in sharing, please see Mrs. Welsh or Mr. Bosler.  Hope to see you there!

 

STEM News – This Thursday during CP11, the advisor from the “Girls in STEM” Club at the high school, will be in room #107 to talk with 8th grade girls interested in high school STEM courses.  If you have other obligations during CP11, you must report to those other obligations.  If you have to miss this meeting, Mrs. Scholz will supply you with the information that was discussed.

 

Heart Mail - Are you looking for a special gift for Valentine’s Day?  Then Heart Mail is for you!  Heart Mail is a treat bag delivered the day before Valentine’s Day to homerooms.  You can choose a yellow tag for your friends, pink for your crush, or red for that someone special.  Heart Mail will be sold at the South Street Store during CP11, priced at just $2.00 each or 3/$5.00.

 

Room 103 News – Are you looking for a fun place to make great friends while making a difference?  Room 103 is looking for a few new friends that could join us on Wednesdays and Fridays during CP11 to play games and help out.  If this sounds fun to you, stop by for an application in room #103 during CP11.

 

Heart & Sole Program – Attention 6/7/8 grade girls:  Please check out South’s Heart & Sole program.  Heart & Sole is a program for middle school girls filled with fun lessons for our minds, bodies, and spirit.  We will meet Tuesdays & Thursdays from 3:00 – 4:30PM starting March 18th & ending with a 5K run/walk on June 1st.  For more information, pick up a flyer in the office or see Mrs. Croyle.  We hope you’ll join us!

 

D&D Club – D&D Club will meet after school this Friday in room #206 from 3:15PM – 5:00PM.  Questions? – see Mrs. Springer.

 

REMINDER –

  • Attn. Parents/Guardians:  When dropping off/picking up students/forgotten items, PLEASE do not park in the NO PARKING/FIRE ZONE area near the main office entrance.

Ø  Due to bus traffic and student safety, please park on the street between the hours of 7:15AM – 8:15AM, and 2:15PM – 3:15PM.  Otherwise, you may park in the designated parking spaces in the parking lot.  Thank you!

Ø  All Students and staff are reminded - DO NOT open building doors for anyone.  All guests should be directed to enter thru the secure vestibule at the front of the building.
